Knicks shutting down the hopelessly broken Joakim Noah

Knicks center Joakim Noah is likely to undergo season-ending arthroscopic knee surgery, according to The Vertical.

Noah had missed seven straight games due to what was described as a sore left hamstring.

The 32-year-old former Defensive Player of the Year is in the first season of a four-year, $72 million contract. He has averaged 5.0 points and 8.7 rebounds in 46 games (of 59).

The Knicks also waived backup point guard Brandon Jennings on Monday as they raise the proverbial white flag on another lost season.
