Olympic gymnast Simone Biles to headline ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 24, report says

In Rio, New Jersey’s Laurie Hernandez and Simone Biles were teammates on the medal-winning USA Women’s Gymnastics team.

Now Hernandez will get a chance to watch her teammate compete in the same competition she won last fall: ‘Dancing With the Stars’ on ABC.

According to a report from Entertainment Tonight, Biles will headline the cast for Season 24 of the program beginning on March 20.

Biles told ET in August that she wasn’t able to join the show last year due to her schedule, but “would love” to participate in a later season, even picking out her dream partner.
“I would love to [join DWTS], but the fall season won’t work because [of] the tour,” said the 19-year-old gymnast, who was scheduled to participate in Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions from September through November. “If I could do the spring season, I would love to do that!”
“I think [I’d like to dance with] Sasha [Farber],” she revealed. “I think it would be cool to be with Sasha.”

Also joining the cast: Actor Laurence Tureaud, better known as Mr. T. The 64-year-old hasn’t appeared on television since 2014, per the report. Time will tell if Clubber Lang’s boxer’s feet will help him out on the show.

Biles wins gold

Biles and Hernandez competed together in the Rio Olympics last summer before Hernandez took her fame 1xbet to ABC. Based on the athleticism of the Olympic stars, Biles will likely be one of the favorites to win the competition on ABC.
