Oregon Ducks begin stretch run against California: Live updates

Oregon’s push toward March Madness continues with a key Friday night showdown against California.

The Ducks’ NCAA Tournament resume took at hit Sunday with a 76-66 loss at Colorado. But Oregon is still pegged as a No. 9 seed in ESPN’s latest Bracketolgy projection.

Oregon is paced by the inside presence of Ruthy Hebard (who leads the Pac-12 in field-goal percentage at 64.9), outside shooting of Lexi Bando (who leads the nation in three-point field-goal percentage at 50.4) and versatility of Sabrina Ionescu (13.9 points, seven rebounds, 5.7 assists per game).

After spending part of the season ranked in the top 25, Cal now must make quite the run down the stretch to reach the field of 64. The Golden Bears have lost four games in a row. Kristine Anigwe ranks second in the Pac-12 in scoring (21 points per game) and third in rebounding (9.3 per game).
