Clown attack threatened at upper Bucks County school

UPDATE: 2 to be disciplined for sending clown text threat in Bucks County

A middle school student in Upper Bucks County received a text that alleged someone dressed as a clown would conduct an attack on the student’s school.

The text vowed a clown would attack Milford Middle School at 1:14 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, according to a news release from Pennsylvania State Police at the Dublin barracks.

The student received the text at 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7. The person sending it could be charged with recklessly endangering another person, state police said.

The sender has not been identified, authorities said.

This is one of a string of creepy clown sightings and allegations of clown attacks at schools.

A juvenile was cited for riding on the hood of a car dressed as a clown at the Pohatcong Plaza II on Sept. 29. His father said it was a joke.

Threats were made against Liberty and Freedom high schools in the Bethlehem area on Oct. 5. A 14-year-old by was charged Oct. 7 in connection with that case.

Milford Middle School at 2255 Allentown Road is in the Quakertown Community School District. The principal at the school didn’t immediately return a phone call.

State police say the matter remains under investigation. Anyone with information should call state police at 215-249-9191.
