Seven people were shot and injured on Saturday August 26 in Boston, in the northeastern United States. This great city then received a Caribbean festival. The shots were fired shortly before 8 a.m. and all seven victims “were transported to local hospitals with non-lethal injuries,” Massachusetts state capital police said in a statement.

“Weapons have been recovered and arrests made,” she further states. The shots were fired at an intersection where a Caribbean festival parade was marching.

The United States has more individual weapons than inhabitants, partly because of the ease with which Americans have access to them. One in three adults owns at least one weapon and almost one in two adults lives in a household where there is a weapon. The consequence of this proliferation is the very high rate of firearm deaths in the United States, unmatched by that of other developed countries.

Friday evening, two women were shot and injured in Chicago (North) while attending a game of the White Sox, a Major League Baseball team in North America.
