Dettingen/Erms (dpa/lsw) – The automotive supplier ElringKlinger sees itself on track to meet its annual targets despite the increase in conflicts worldwide. In the first nine months, earnings before interest and taxes amounted to 30.5 million euros (2021: 98.5 million euros), as CEO Stefan Wolf announced on Thursday in Dettingen/Erms (Reutlingen district). In the previous financial year, the company posted a profit of 55.7 million euros.

The turnover of the manufacturer of seals, fuel cells and spare parts increased from January to September to 1.3 billion euros. In the same period last year it was 1.2 billion euros. The supplier confirmed its forecast for the current year. Above all, the 3rd quarter gave rise to hope. In no previous quarter has ElringKlinger reported higher sales. In the months July to September it was 464.1 million euros.

“We are still in a phase with a high degree of uncertainty and risk due to the frequent occurrence of geopolitical conflicts and economic challenges. Despite this complex environment, ElringKlinger is on course to meet its annual targets,” said Wolf.
