Knüllwald (dpa / lhe) – Several football fans rioted at a truck stop in Knüllwald in the Schwalm-Eder district. On Sunday evening, three coaches with around 150 passengers stopped at the rest area to take a break, as the public prosecutor and the police announced on Monday. Several strangers then sprayed concrete bollards and passage barriers, stuck a large number of club stickers on a building and completely destroyed a surveillance camera. According to the police, the damage was in the low five-digit range. According to initial findings, the passengers were supporters of a football club from Magdeburg. The public prosecutor’s office in Kassel and the criminal police are now investigating suspected breaches of the peace.
