Nuremberg (dpa/lby) – The city of Nuremberg wants to reduce the energy consumption of its four indoor swimming pools by 25 percent this winter. To this end, the water temperature in the swimmers’ pool is to be reduced by around two degrees Celsius to 26 degrees and in the non-swimmers’ pool to 28. The air temperature is to be around 30 degrees in the future. The water temperature in the small children’s pool should remain unchanged, the city administration announced on Monday in Nuremberg.
In addition to the temperature reduction, the warm bathing days are to be omitted. A slide in the Nordostbad will also remain closed. A slide in the Südstadtbad, on the other hand, remains in operation, it is insulated. There will also be restrictions for individual saunas. In principle, however, the sauna operation will also be maintained. The indoor pool season in Nuremberg starts on September 26th. Outdoor pools will then no longer be open.
