Author Tom Bower, who published a book about Duchess Meghan, claimed on “GB News” that Harry wanted to stick to the original publication date – that would be in November. According to the Daily Mail, a source close to the Duke of Sussex denies these speculations.
Royal experts said it would “look very bad for Harry to release something controversial at this point,” the newspaper said. Other insiders are speculating that the book could be pushed back to 2023 to give Prince Harry time to write additional chapters on the Queen’s death.
Prince Harry said he intends to donate the proceeds from the book to charity. As “The Sun” reported in July, the manuscript is ready and has already been approved by lawyers. At that time, it was still planned to publish the book in the USA in time for Thanksgiving as a potential Christmas present.
As the newspaper wrote, ghostwriter J.R. Moehringer completed the manuscript at the beginning of the summer.
