Strike against drug crime: After months of investigations in Münsterland and East Westphalia, police and customs arrested eight suspected drug dealers and bulk buyers. They were taken into custody, as the Essen customs investigation office reported on Monday.

During searches, investigators seized more than three kilograms of marijuana, 750 grams of cocaine, 95,000 euros in cash and two firearms, two crossbows and a sword. Two luxury watches and two high-quality cars were also confiscated. Most of the arrests were made on June 22nd.

The main suspect is a 43-year-old from Oelde. He is said to have traded drugs worth at least 260,000 euros. He is said to have sold at least four kilograms of cocaine and 38 kilograms of marijuana in the Warendorf and East Westphalia area. The investigators tracked down the suspected dealers by evaluating encrypted chats.
