Heidelberg (dpa / lsw) – The German basketball professional Phillipp Heyden from the Bundesliga club MLP Academics Heidelberg has ended his career. The 33-year-old did not receive a new contract from Heidelberg, as the club announced on Thursday. Heyden played for various clubs in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) and completed 221 games in the upper house. He moved to Heidelberg in 2018 and was also captain there. In the past season, however, the center was only a supplementary player. He averaged just over seven minutes and scored 2.4 points per game.
