Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – The police in Düsseldorf are assuming “negligent fault” when a worker crashes at the Düsseldorf Rheinkirmes. According to the investigations so far, there is no evidence that third parties were involved in the accident, said a Düsseldorf police spokesman on Wednesday when asked. The Office for Occupational Safety and Health is also involved in the investigations into the course of the accident.
A 25-year-old man fell from an amusement ride from a height of ten to 15 meters during dismantling work on the Rhine meadows in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel on Tuesday and suffered life-threatening injuries. He had been flown to a hospital in Duisburg by helicopter. There was initially no new information about the health of the 25-year-old on Wednesday.
