The biggest Pride in Europe returns to Madrid. From Friday, June 23 to Sunday, July 2, 2023, MADO is celebrated, the great LGBTIQ Pride party with a program full of talks, activities, shows and musical performances.

For 10 days, the streets and squares of the capital of Spain will be flooded with the collective’s flags to make sexual orientations and gender identities visible through peaceful protest and open partying.

The proclamation marks the beginning of the Pride Festival. It will be on Wednesday, June 28 in Plaza Pedro Zerolo (8:30 p.m.). In 2023, those in charge of giving the starting signal are the actors of the film I am loving you madly: Ana Wagener, Omar Banana, Alba Flores, Alex de la Croix, La Dani, Lola Buzón and Carmen Orellana, as well as Manolita Chen, witness of the events told in the film.

Later and on the same stage it will be the turn of Blanca Paloma, one of the most anticipated musical performances of MADO 2023.

On Saturday, July 1, the massive State Demonstration will take place, considered the largest protest act in the world in LGTBIQA matters. It is the central act of the Pride Festival, where the demands merge with the color of the party, the music and the floats. The route of the march begins in Atocha (Paseo del Prado, near the Botanical Garden) and ends in Colón.

The city will be warming up its engines from Friday June 23 with Chueca’s Pride, acts and events in the premises of the Chueca neighborhood. There will also be other classics such as the Carrera de Tacones (Thursday, June 29), the sports-festive event that this year reaches its twenty-fourth edition without losing its essence: a dizzying race down Pelayo street with platforms up to 15 centimeters high.

The cultural activities of MADO 2023 are part of the T Show with La Culta and La Oculta, which include improvisation workshops, book presentations or storytelling. Human Rights will have a place at the Madrid Summit, which will be held at the Offices of the European Parliament and the European Commission in Spain on June 29. In this event, the MADO awards will be given to institutions and personalities for the defense of LGTBIQA rights, highlighting the award to Lola Flores for the centenary of her birth.

In addition to Blanca Paloma, during these days artists such as Paulina Rubio, Falete, Ladilla Rusa, Tokischa, Miranda!, Paula Cendejas or Natalia, among many others, disembark in Madrid.

Four main stages have been prepared to host all the free shows and concerts of Madrid Gay Pride 2023: Plaza de Callao, Plaza de Pedro Zerolo, Plaza de España and Plaza del Rey. We detail all the performances of the artists and the schedules.
