Officials in Broward County, Florida said that one woman was killed and another was injured in an attack on Thursday morning.
It happened at 11:01 a.m. at the address of 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida. This non-profit organization is located in Oakland Park.
Two women were injured when the Broward County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding an animal bite.
The sheriff’s office stated that both women were taken to hospitals and one of them was declared dead. They have not been identified.
According to its website, 100+ Abandoned Dogs Florida rescues abandoned dogs and cats in Florida’s Everglades region. This group has adopted more than 4,000 animals.
