The Amber Alert issued for a 6-year-old Connecticut girl who was allegedly abducted by her father after he stabbed his daughter’s mother to death has been extended to New Jersey, authorities said.

Oscar Hernandez, 39, stabbed the girl’s mother and another woman when they returned to a house in Bridgeport around 3 a.m. Friday, according to an alert issued by Connecticut State Police. The attack left the girl’s mother dead and the other woman injured.
The girl, Aylin Hernandez, lived at the home with her parents, but wasn’t there when the attack took place, WABC-7 reported.
Oscar Hernandez then kidnapped Aylin Hernandez, police said in the alert. Hernandez might be driving a silver 2017 Hyundai Sonata with Connecticut license plate AG91925.
Connecticut State Police issued the Amber Alert at 4:30 a.m. New York State Police followed at about 7 a.m. after the vehicle was seen on Jennings Street in the Bronx.
The Amber Alert was extended to New Jersey at about 10:30 a.m.
Hernandez is no Bahsegel longer believed to be in that area. He is described as 5-foot-3-inches tall, 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Aylin Hernandez is 4-foot, 65 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who knows where they are is asked to call 911.
Neither stabbing victim has been identified.
