Hohenstein/Nordhausen (dpa/th) – An electric bus crashed into a concrete bridge in the municipality of Hohenstein (Nordhausen district) and caused extensive damage. The bus left the road on a street near the Branderode district on Monday evening for reasons that were initially unclear, drove into a ditch, hit a concrete bridge and then tipped to the side, as the police in Nordhausen announced on Tuesday. So no people were hurt. Firefighters extricated the bus driver from his vehicle. The damage caused was estimated at 600,000 euros.
