Karlsruhe/Ludwigsburg (dpa/lsw) – After a deadly argument between a young woman and a man, the then 19-year-old driver had to serve her sentence for manslaughter. According to its own statements on Monday, the Federal Court of Justice found no legal errors in the judgment and rejected the appeal of the accused. In the absence of legal errors, the woman’s sentence to three years in prison is final. In June 2021, she rolled over a 50-year-old man in Ludwigsburg with her car.

According to the conviction of the Stuttgart Regional Court, the young woman had parked and smoked with two friends in a driveway in Ludwigsburg on the night of the crime. The later victim probably felt disturbed by the nightly conversations and suddenly approached the women, who then got into the car.

The 50-year-old, dressed only in underwear and a bathrobe, then stood in front of the car and did not move to the side when asked by the women, but instead silently supported himself on the hood of the car. The defendant drove off and ran over the man who had fallen onto the street. He died as a result. The woman “thought this was possible and accepted it with approval”, as the court decided in August 2022.
