FC St. Pauli remains the team of the hour in the 2nd Bundesliga. With the fourth win in a row, the club has not lost a point since changing coaches. In the duel of the winless, Hannover and Regensburg can’t find a winner, while Düsseldorf’s dreams of promotion are fading.

SpVgg Greuther Furth – Fortuna Dusseldorf 2: 1 (1: 0)

Fortuna Düsseldorf suffered a setback in the fight for promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. Coach Daniel Thioune’s team lost 2-1 (0-1) at SpVgg Greuther Fürth and is 32 points behind SC Paderborn, who are currently third in the table.

Ragnar Ache (28th/57th) scored twice for the cloverleaves (26), who won their seventh home game against Fortuna in a row and collected important points for staying up in the league. Kristoffer Peterson (67th) shortened the lead for Düsseldorf, who were outnumbered by Jordy de Wijs (90th 4) after a yellow card. FC Magdeburg and celebrated their fourth three-pointer in a row under the 29-year-old coach. Baris Atik (39′) gave Magdeburg the lead, but Jackson Irvine (74′) and Jakov Medic (88′) turned the game around.

Hamburg conceded the first goal against Hürzeler through Atik’s goal in the fourth game. In the relegation battle, FCM lost another encounter after the last four points from two games. The guests were more powerful and dangerous in their attacking actions in the early stages. The Magdeburgers needed a quarter of an hour to get up to speed. Then Moritz Kwarteng had the home side’s first good opportunity, but goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj defused it.

SSV Jahn Regensburg – Hannover 96 1:1 (1:0)

The negative series from Jahn Regensburg and Hannover 96 continue to exist. In a direct duel there was a 1:1 (1:0), whereby the Oberpfälzer get a point after four defeats in a row. The Lower Saxony, who had lost all three games in the new year, were able to win a point again.
