Halle/Merseburg (dpa/sa) – There was a power outage in Halle and parts of the Saale district on Thursday evening. According to the city, parts of Halle-Neustadt, Nietleben, Heide-Süd, the Weinberg district and western areas of the city center were affected from 7:40 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., as the city and the police announced on Thursday evening. It was not immediately known how many households were affected by the power outage.
The police met a person in the course of patrolling at a substation. “She was mentally disturbed and received medical treatment.” The cause of the power failure and whether there is a connection with this person are currently being examined, the police said.
