Heritage. President Emmanuel Macron is traveling to Côte-d’Or for the European Heritage Days. Ten months before the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, their 40th edition, which begins on Saturday, will notably allow visitors to discover historic venues or those still under construction this weekend. Activities, guided tours, demonstrations, circuits… This year, some 20,000 sites are open to the public with, in some cases, a special touch dedicated to sport.

Health. From September 15, babies under one year old will be able to receive preventive treatment against the main virus responsible for bronchiolitis, which is very contagious and sometimes severe to the point of requiring hospitalization. Beyfortus, manufactured by Sanofi and AstraZeneca, is not a vaccine but a monoclonal antibody. The injection can be given in certain cases at birth, before leaving the maternity ward, but also by general practitioners, pediatricians, etc. The government hopes that this treatment will reduce serious forms and, in turn, relieve the healthcare system.

Justice. On July 5, 2020, a bus driver was beaten up by passengers in Bayonne (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) during a violent altercation linked to a ticket and health mask check. Brain dead, he died five days later in hospital. This tragedy triggered a wave of emotion in the city, where a white march brought together 6,000 people. His two alleged attackers will appear from Friday before the Assize Court in Pau, alongside a third man who helped them after the events.
