The head of the Reconquest list in the European elections, Marion Maréchal, affirmed on Tuesday that “the door is open” to an alliance with the National Rally, whose president Jordan Bardella repeated that it was up to her to take the step.
“If today Jordan Bardella has changed his mind and evolved (…), he is ready to work and sit around the table with people from LR like François-Xavier Bellamy, Nadine Morano, Julien Aubert and around the table with Reconquête, I want to say let’s go, let’s talk about it,” declared the former National Front MP and niece of Marine Le Pen, on the France 2 set.
“We are ready to do it, of course because it is the key to victory (…) to counter the alliance of the extreme left. Once again, it was the key to the victory of all the parties close to us in Europe. So let’s draw conclusions from this, the door is open. Now it’s up to him to tell us what it is clearly,” she added.
At the same time on RTL, the head of the National Rally list Jordan Bardella called on Éric Zemmour and Marion Maréchal “to come and help the patriots win the elections” rather than “get 5 or 6%”. “I think it’s totally counterproductive,” he added.
The RN is immediately given the winner of the European elections of June 2024 in several polls, ahead of the presidential majority.
