Mönchengladbach (dpa / lnw) – By chance, the police in Mönchengladbach discovered a professional marijuana plantation with hundreds of plants. The officials were alerted on Tuesday because a witness had discovered signs of a break-in on a building. The police officers took up the case and became aware of an open door on the neighboring house.
When they went to see if burglars were at work there, they discovered the commercial building full of illegally grown cannabis plants. A “high three-digit number” of plants had been secured, the police said on Wednesday. There was initially no trace of the perpetrators.
