Nedlitz (dpa/sa) – According to initial estimates, a fire on Sunday night on a property in the Nedlitz district of Zerbst caused damage of around 200,000 euros. A larger building and two cars were destroyed, as the police in Dessau-Roßlau announced. An adjacent single-family house was only slightly damaged in the fire, but is currently uninhabitable due to the heavy smoke. Four people could have escaped unharmed from the house, it said. It was initially unclear what caused the fire. Fire investigators are on site. According to the police, around a hundred emergency services with 22 fire engines were involved in the extinguishing work, which lasted several hours.
