The 224 passengers on a plane about to take off from Zaragoza airport heading to Romania had to evacuate the plane due to the incident caused by another passenger who was in a state of intoxication.
As reported this Sunday by the Civil Guard, the events occurred on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. on the runway of the airport in the Aragonese capital.
One of the passengers, a Romanian national and resident in Zaragoza, was drunk on board one of the Wizz Air company planes that was preparing to leave for the Romanian city of Bucharest.
At the time of the incident, this traveler went to the access door to the plane and tried to force it open and ended up damaging it. This meant that the aircraft could not take off at the scheduled time and had to wait until it was fixed.
Given the commotion caused, the presence of the Civil Guard was required to help in the eviction and transfer of the passengers to the terminal.
According to the aforementioned sources, the passengers were not able to leave Zaragoza until 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. They did it aboard another company plane, but the 224 affected could not fly because there were 50 passengers who had to stay on the ground due to lack of space on the new aircraft that was able to take off at night.
