Now the women’s and children’s rights group Mission NGO, led by former Miss Italy Valeria Altobelli, is siding with the Hollywood star. In an official statement, the organization expresses its condolences to him.
“As women, we feel compassion and empathy not for the star, the talent, the actor, but for a man, a father, a worker, a human being,” the statement said. It is particularly important to take care of mental health so that “women and men can love and respect each other without any kind of abuse and violence”. “We are human and we must find the humanity we were born to be,” is the final statement.
In 2018, Amber Heard wrote in the “Washington Post” that she had been a victim of domestic violence. She didn’t mention Depp’s name in the article. However, the 58-year-old sued the “Aquaman” actress for defamation. Johnny Depp is demanding 50 million dollars in damages from his ex-partner (approx. 46 million euros). He claims the Washington Post article seriously damaged his career.
