Meißenheim (dpa / lsw) – A young non-swimmer drowned in a lake near Meißenheim (Ortenaukreis). The 15-year-old was accompanied by another young person at the lake on Saturday, but went into the water alone, the police said on Tuesday. Rescue divers got the 15-year-old out of the water. After rescue workers initially successfully resuscitated him, he died in a clinic the following day. The police are investigating.
