Mannheim (dpa / lsw) – After the injuries to Uwe Gensheimer and Halil Jaganjac, the Rhein-Neckar Löwen have to cope with another loss. Handball talent Niklas Michalski suffered a ligament injury in his right ankle during training on Friday, as the Bundesliga team announced on Monday. Michalski will no longer be available this calendar year and will not be back until January for the winter preparations.

The Croatian new signing Jaganjac is now certain that the injured shoulder will be operated on. Only then can an indication of the downtime be given, the club said. The third in the table will probably have to do without his backcourt and inner block player for a long time.
