Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – The Archdiocese of Freiburg has released a religious from his duties with immediate effect. This was announced by the Archdiocese on Sunday. The reason is “the allegation of sexual assault against an adult in need of protection abroad”. It was not disclosed where the alleged assault took place. The allegations would now be examined in the country of the crime scene by the local prosecutor and the local church court, it said.
