Müllheim (dpa / lsw) – The police are investigating two travelers because of an alleged racist insult against a train attendant from Syria. This was announced by the federal police on Thursday in Müllheim (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district). The 29-year-old train attendant had previously pointed out to a 68-year-old woman and her 74-year-old companion – both Germans – the existing obligation to wear a mouth and nose cover on the train. A verbal altercation ensued. The police initiated criminal proceedings. The incident happened on Wednesday evening in the regional express between Basel and Freiburg.
