Bavaria: accident on the A3 in the district of Würzburg: three seriously injured

Helmstadt (dpa / lby) – In an accident on Autobahn 3, three people were seriously injured and two others were slightly injured. The highway was closed for several hours, police said. The 54-year-old driver was traveling with six other men between the ages of 42 and 55 on the A3 near Helmstadt (Würzburg district) when he lost control of the car due to previously unexplained circumstances. There was an accident in which the car overturned and came to a standstill on the central protection wall. Three of the men suffered serious injuries and two received minor injuries. All of the injured were taken to nearby hospitals for further treatment. The driver and one other passenger were not injured. According to initial findings by the police, only the two uninjured were wearing seat belts.
