Munich (dpa / lby) – After colliding with a bus, a pedestrian in Munich first attacked the bus driver and later a police officer. The 36-year-old, who was slightly injured in the accident on Monday according to the police, is said to have punched the 49-year-old bus driver in the face and attacked a police officer who was there when the man was taken to the hospital. According to the Munich police headquarters on Tuesday, the officer was initially unable to work after the attack. According to the police report, the collision with the bus occurred because the 36-year-old had crossed the street and the bus could not prevent the collision despite emergency braking. Two passengers were slightly injured as a result of the sudden braking.

According to the police, after the 36-year-old allegedly hit the bus driver, he left the scene of the accident, but was picked up by the police after information from passers-by and taken to the hospital, where he resisted. He is now being investigated not for unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident and negligent bodily harm, but also for intentional bodily harm, threats and physical assault.
