Munich (dpa / lby) – There has been a permanent conference for art and culture (SK3) in Bavaria since Tuesday. The aim is to give the free art and culture scene appropriate recognition in the Free State and to create the conditions for adequate funding, the newly founded committee announced in Munich. Associations from all fields of art are involved, from dance to fine arts, music and literature to the performing arts and pop culture.

Among other things, the SK3 wants to achieve that bureaucratic hurdles in cultural funding are removed and that artists are better socially secure, especially in old age. Binding minimum fees for state subsidies are also required. In addition, one wants to improve the cultural infrastructure and ensure that offers such as studios, venues, exhibition rooms or rehearsal rooms are available nationwide.
