Munich (dpa / lby) – An injured goose lying next to the tracks was rescued by emergency services at a Munich S-Bahn station. An unknown person dialed the emergency call on Thursday, the federal police said on Friday. The officers shooed the animal out of the dangerous zone and then caught it by grabbing its neck. The goose was very calm and allowed itself to be wrapped in a blanket without resistance. The animal, christened “Schlotti” by officials, was taken to a bird clinic. There the Canada goose (Branta canadensis) is nursed and then released again.
