Salvamento Marítimo has rescued four boats with 241 migrants when they were in waters near the islands of El Hierro and Tenerife during the last hours of this Sunday and the early hours of this Monday, as reported by the Red Cross and Salvamento Marítimo.
Hours later, around noon on Monday, the presence of a cayuco was reported 15 miles south of Arguineguín. He was escorted by Maritime Rescue to the port, where she disembarked at 2:40 p.m.
The first boat was rescued by the Alpheratz sea rescue at the end of this Sunday, with 48 migrants, when it was in waters near the island of Tenerife, being transferred to the Los Cristianos dock, in the municipality of Arona.
Once at the dock, the health device in the area treated the migrants, having to transfer two people to health centers for different pathologies.
The second boat was rescued by the Adhara rescue boat, which arrived with the 54 people who were aboard the boat at the La Restinga dock, in the municipality of Pinar de El Hierro, after midnight this Monday.
Once at the dock, the health device in the area attended to the migrants, without having to carry out any transfers.
Likewise, early this Monday, around 6:31 a.m., the Adhara rescuer escorted two canoes, with some 139 people, who arrived at the La Restinga dock, where, after assisting the migrants in the area, they transferred a person to a health center for different pathologies.
The last boat was located at 12:30 p.m. (Canary time) about 27 kilometers south of Gran Canaria with 46 people on board. Salvamar escorted the cayuco to the port of Gran Canaria, where it arrived under its own power at 2:25 p.m. (Canary time) and, after disembarking its occupants, they were treated by Red Cross troops.
One of them has been referred to a health center due to presenting different pathologies, sources from the aforementioned humanitarian organization have indicated.
