Thirteen Autonomous Communities, including Navarra, are on yellow alert this Monday for rains that will accumulate up to 20 liters per square meter, in addition to storms with the possibility of hail, especially in the northwest quadrant, the Pyrenees, the southeast of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands.
According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), in addition to the Balearic archipelago, as of 12 noon, the following autonomous communities will also be on alert today: Andalusia, Aragon, Cantabria, both Castillas, Catalonia, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia, Navarra, La Rioja and the Valencian Community.
In Andalusia, up to 20 liters per square meter will accumulate in one hour in Almería, according to the latest data published by Aemet on its website.
In Aragon, accumulations of 20 liters per square meter are expected with probable hail and it will also rain with that intensity in Murcia.
In the Balearic Islands, the rains will accumulate 25 liters per square meter in one hour on the islands of Ibiza, Formentera and Mallorca, occasionally with hail.
In Cantabria, rainfall will be up to 15 liters per square meter in one hour with the possibility of hail, as in La Rioja.
In Castilla y León, practically the entire community is under alert for rains of up to 15 liters per square meter in one hour, and it will rain with the same intensity in Castilla-La Mancha, where the provinces of Albacete, Cuenca and Guadalajara are on alert.
In Catalonia the rains and storms will be up to 20 liters per square meter in one hour with the possibility of hail in Barcelona, ??Girona and Lleida, and also in the Valencian Community.
In Galicia, accumulations of 15 liters per square meter are expected in one hour in Lugo, Ourense and Pontevedra and the possibility of hail.
The entire community of Madrid is on alert due to the forecast of rains of 15 liters per square meter in one hour, and also in Navarra, with the possibility of hail.
