A fight broke out in Rumilly between several people on Wednesday, June 1, and Thursday, June 2, at 2:30 a.m. against the background of alcohol. One of the involved explained to the gendarmes that he was the victim of fights and the theft a gold jewel. An ITT for three days was recommended to the victim after a medical examination.

Five potential perpetrators of the violence were identified by the gendarmes after swift investigations on Thursday. They all were quickly taken into custody and one of the perpetrators was identified. During the search of his house, the stolen jewel was discovered.

The accused was presented to the prosecution and will be summoned to trial next November. They were not charged and released the other four men. One of the four men released by police was identified as the perpetrator of acts degrading the Rumilly brigade with projectiles. He was also issued a summons in November for these reasons. “A fine work in identification and investigations, conducted in just a couple of hours and allowing two case to be resolved at the same time,” said Lieutenant-Colonel Maxime Chevallard of the Annecy Gendarmerie Company.
