Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – In order to save energy, street lighting in Frankfurt will be reduced from Tuesday. Exceptions are the pedestrian crossings and, for reasons of crime prevention, some streets in the city center, the administration announced on Tuesday. For technical reasons, not all lights in Frankfurt could be operated in economy mode. The lighting on the banks of the Main, including the bridges and ground spotlights in various places in the city, would be switched off completely.
