Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – With a stake of 2.50 euros, a man from the Wetteraukreis has secured the third million lottery win in Hesse since the beginning of the year. In the drawing on Wednesday, he was the only one in Germany with the correct seven-digit winning number to clear the jackpot in game 77, Lotto Hessen announced on Thursday in Wiesbaden. He therefore does not have to share the prize money of 2,277,777 euros with anyone.

The man handed in his lottery ticket, which he had played for several weeks, together with his customer card and also ticked the additional lottery Spiel 77. The millions won will be transferred to the deposited bank account in a few days. In this case, the winnings are redeemed automatically and without the man having to appear.

On January 28, a player in the Groß-Gerau district had already won the 2.1 million euro main prize in the GlücksSpirale lottery; before that, on January 18, a man from the Offenbach district had won a good 1.2 million for six correct entries in the 6aus49 lottery collected euros.
