Fulda (dpa/lhe) – After a whole series of burglaries in schools, day care centers and companies in and around Fulda, the police caught the alleged perpetrators. Already on Tuesday last week, six men between the ages of 18 and 42 were arrested, the police and public prosecutor in Fulda announced on Tuesday. Together they are said to be responsible for at least 25 burglaries. According to the police, there had been an increase in burglaries in the area since May of this year, and the investigations were intensified. During searches in eight apartments in Fulda and Künzell, stolen goods and evidence were secured, the police reported.

Of the six suspects, an 18-year-old, a 19-year-old and a 42-year-old have since been released because there were no grounds for detention. An arrest warrant had been issued against a 21-year-old, and the man is now in custody.
