Gießen (dpa/lhe) – After an alleged knife attack against a man in Gießen in central Hesse, a 30-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm. A police spokesman said on Friday. The man from Eritrea was “urgently suspect” of seriously injuring a 27-year-old in a dispute with several people on Tuesday night. In the meantime, the man was in mortal danger and underwent emergency surgery. The police were unable to provide any information on the background to the crime, and the investigation is ongoing.
