The collision occurred in circumstances that will be determined by the gendarmes from the La Mure company. It happened on Saturday, June 4, just before 11:11 a.m. on the RD11 – also known as the Premol road – near Vaulnaveys-le-High.
The motorist was uninjured, but the cyclist, a man in his fifties, was in cardiac arrest by the time help arrived.
Two witnesses had initiated cardiac massage. The firefighters and Samu 38 team took over, and the injured person was able to resume their cardiac activity.
He was then taken to the CHU Grenoble Alpes, where he was admitted for shock treatment.
