Los Angeles Motorist in custody Following hours-long vehicle chase

An odd, hours-long automobile chase in Los Angeles ended Wednesday with a defendant in custody along with his badly damaged automobile — with three or more flat tires — sitting on a freeway.

Video submitted to social websites about 1:30 a.m. local time revealed police officers moving on the allegedly”armed and dangerous” defendant as he stood outside his automobile.

Only minutes before, sparks flew out of the front wheel onto the driver’s side of the defendant’s vehicle since the rim dropped off, leaving the silver Chevy Malibu eventually disabled later hours of travel with three of its tires ruined.

Through the night, video published by FOX 11 at Los Angeles along with other channels had revealed the Malibu using Oklahoma plates travel across town, mostly on Interstate 110, together with authorities vehicles near and information helicopters overhead.

Police were chasing carefully since the driver was thought to be in possession of a weapon,” the report stated.

The cautiousness of this pursuit was according to authorities coaching, Joe Buscaino, a Los Angeles city councilman who served as a L.A. police officer, informed the channel.

He noticed the automobile chase came amid a period of rising crime in the country’s second-largest city.

“I expect it is going to get worse before it gets better, sadly,” Buscaino explained.

About 11 p.m. local time that the defendant was spotted driving slowly in El Monte, Calif., together with four police vehicles near. All vehicles were in driving and several vehicles were spotted parked across the roadway, with passengers viewing the activity.

The chase started around seven local time on a record of a defendant with a gun, the channel reported.

The defendant’s identity, and a list of future criminal charges, weren’t immediately available.
