Rostock (dpa/mv) – Around 900 artists in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania can be looked over the shoulder by visitors in the studio on the Pentecost weekend during the “Pentecost Open” campaign. According to the state tourism association, the number of participants has increased significantly compared to the years before the pandemic. Around 800 participants took part in 2018 and 2019. Traditionally, photographers, painters, potters and other artists display a yellow umbrella or blue and white flag at the entrance to indicate that they are giving visitors a glimpse of their work. The “KunstOffen” campaign on the lake district begins at 10 a.m. with a street art event accompanied by music in Stargard Castle.
