So far, ten actors at the Vineta Festival on Usedom had to be replaced because of an infection, the state stage announced on Wednesday. “Because it is the highest principle: No performance may be cancelled, the audience must not be disappointed.” Director Andreas Flick has already stepped in. There have already been five cast changes at the Wolgast Summer Theater.
The organizers were nevertheless satisfied with this year’s Vineta Festival on the half-time balance. About 5000 spectators have come so far. The previous year’s figures, when the game was played under Corona conditions, have already been exceeded and are approaching the figures for 2019. The summer theater in Wolgast could also build on pre-Corona results. Because of the Corona numbers, however, viewers are increasingly hesitant to buy tickets.
There were also cases of corona in the ensemble at the Störtebeker Festival on Rügen. In coordination with the health department, the game continued here as well.
