Norse Atlantic Airways, a low-cost airline, has announced a new flight route that will make it easier for travelers to get to Europe from the West Coast. Starting on May 22, 2025, the airline will offer flights between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport (FCO) three times a week.
The CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic Airways, Bjorn Tore Larsen, expressed excitement about the new route, highlighting the opportunity for passengers to explore the historic city of Rome while enjoying affordable and comfortable flights. Tickets for this new flight will start at just $199 one-way, including taxes.
In addition to the Rome route, Norse Atlantic Airways will also resume flights between Los Angeles and Oslo next year for the third consecutive summer. These flights will operate up to three times a week from May 23, 2025, through Sept. 26. Tickets for the Los Angeles to Oslo route start at $240 one-way, including taxes.
Established in 2021, Norse Atlantic Airways currently operates a fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft and serves various cities in the United States, such as New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, and Las Vegas. Travelers can choose between two cabin options: economy and premium, with the premium cabin offering a 43-inch seat pitch and a 12-inch recline.
Moreover, Norse Atlantic Airways has made changes to its baggage policy, now including 22-pound carry-on bags in its Economy Light fares when flights are booked directly through the airline’s website. Different rules may apply for flights booked through third-party platforms.
