Dortmund (dpa / lnw) – A police operation is currently underway in connection with a homicide in the north of Dortmund a week ago. For this purpose, the Dortmund-Barop junction on the A40 in the direction of Essen had to be closed for a good half hour on Tuesday morning, as a police spokesman said when asked by the dpa. No further details were initially given.
The operation is related to a 32-year-old man from Dortmund who was initially seriously injured by several shots on Hirtenstrasse on May 29. He died in hospital the next day. The suspect fled on foot and then in a car. The search for the approximately 35-year-old suspect had so far been unsuccessful.
