Haan (dpa / lnw) – Nine people were injured in an accident on the rain-soaked roadway of Autobahn 46 near Haan on Saturday. Four vehicles collided with each other, eight injured were then taken to hospitals, the fire department said. Rescuers went to a large-scale operation with around 20 emergency vehicles.
Operating materials leaking from the vehicle wrecks were caught or scattered. Since fuel had also spilled onto the green strip, representatives of the Lower Water Authority were requested. The rescue operation lasted two hours. According to the fire department, the accident happened on Saturday morning near Haan in the direction of Düsseldorf.
