North Rhine-Westphalia: Man drives at 100 km/h on the outside of the train

Leverkusen (dpa / lnw) – At a speed of more than 100 kilometers per hour, a man near Leverkusen was a free rider on the outside of a regional train. The 36-year-old jumped on the train in Opladen and was discovered by a train attendant shortly after departure, the federal police said on Monday.

The engine driver then immediately initiated emergency braking. The 36-year-old, who was also wanted by the Koblenz and Bochum public prosecutors for theft and resistance, was arrested by the federal police. The reason for the dangerous journey on Sunday evening was that he did not have a mask for the train ride. Criminal proceedings were instituted against him.
