North Rhine-Westphalia: Suspicious object turns out to be a practice hand grenade

Bonn (dpa / lnw) – Because of a dummy bomb discovered in a front yard, an area near the main train station in Bonn was cordoned off on Monday. A specialist from the State Criminal Police Office examined the suspicious object and gave the all-clear, the Bonn police said on Monday. It was parts of a practice hand grenade without a fuse. The police had been alerted by a passer-by. The closure extended over several streets behind the main station.
