Leichlingen (dpa / lnw) – A bus left the road in Leichlingen (Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis) on Tuesday, touched two street lamps, rammed a car parked in a driveway and then crashed through a concrete wall. The 33-year-old bus driver from Leverkusen wanted to avoid a vehicle parked on the right side of the road. He steered too far to the left and took the first lantern with him before he completely lost control of his bus and collision after collision followed.

In the end, the driver was able to stop his bus on a hedge after making contact with a house wall. The bus driver and his only passenger (29) were only slightly injured, the police said. Balance of the accident: a four-hour road closure and around 140,000 euros in property damage.
